Built to Honor partners with nonprofit organizations to identify and assess candidates.

Building Homes for Heroes:

Building Homes for Heroes®, a national non-profit, non-partisan 501(c)(3) organization, is committed to rebuilding lives and supporting the brave men and women who were injured while serving the country during the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. Since 2006, Building Homes for Heroes® has been at the forefront of making a significant difference in the lives of wounded American service members and their families by gifting mortgage-free homes that meet the needs of the men and women who have selflessly served our country.

Built to Honor is partnering with Operation Finally Home, a nonpartisan/nonprofit organization that, since 2005, has been working with wounded warriors across the country who are in need of a new home. Its mission has been to provide our country with the ability to honor and thank America’s wounded and disabled veterans and their families for the sacrifices they’ve made defending our nation. Through its vast network of supporters, Operation FINALLY HOME brings together builders, contractors, manufacturers and sponsors to address one of the most pressing needs of our returning heroes – a home. Together, we are making the dream of a home a reality for those who have given so much for our country.

Operation Homefront builds strong, stable, and secure military families by providing critical financial assistance, transitional and permanent housing, and family support services. Operation Homefront’s Homes on the Homefront (HOTH), permanent housing program offers military families the foundation for long-term stability and resiliency. The HOTH program has awarded more than 600 families with permanent housing, providing over $64 million in deeded value since 2012.

Who is involved in building the homes?

We couldn’t build and deliver the gift of homeownership without the commitment of our employees and, more importantly, our trade partners. All across the country, local vendors donate their time, materials, resources and finances to assist in building a home for these worthy veterans. Click here for a list of our national trade partners.
